The telecom company and service provider announced that Swisscom, the largest telecom provider in Ericsson and Switzerland, has switched Europe's first large-scale commercial 5G network to support commercially available smartphones. The network and its 5G services are available in 54 cities in Switzerland, including the largest settlements in Zurich, Bern, Geneva, Basel, Lausanne and Lucerne. As all the other components were already in place, obtaining a commercial license meant that the partners had to connect the network with just one touch.

Huawei is becoming a stronger and more influential player in the global technology sector, but so far the group seemed to leave the television segment cold. Recently, however, it has rumored that this will not be so long.
